Tooth Bleaching

Tooth bleaching is one of the methods done by dentists for teeth whitening. Teeth whitening can eliminate their improper color caused by bad eating habits or lack of personal hygiene and even smoking. As a result, the teeth whitening amount after bleaching depends on the oral health of individuals. How you consume food and beverages affects your teeth’ lifespan. The type of teeth should also be considered for bleaching. Experts in teeth whitening suggest that tooth bleaching is a practical solution for your discolored teeth and is widely used nowadays.

Many people do not have proper tooth color for congenital reasons. Since teeth whitening, also called bleaching in medical science, is subconsciously considered a sign of youth and beauty and has many effects on a person’s beauty, it has always been popular. It should be noted that teeth bleaching cannot be done on veneered teeth.

Types Of Bleaching:

There are generally two methods of bleaching that are done in the office or at home. Bleaching procedures should be prescribed by a physician and under a cosmetologist’s supervision and depends on the patient’s satisfaction. But in general, the best method is to prescribe both bleaching methods to increase the whiteness of the teeth and satisfy the patient.

Office Teeth Whitening:

In teeth whitening in the office method, high-concentration bleaching gels are placed on the teeth for a short and specific time. In this method, the whitening procedure will be done faster than the home method, but it may cause transient allergies in the gums and oral mucosa if it is not used properly. As a result, the dentist must have sufficient skills in teeth bleaching.

In this method, special protective gels are used to prevent the oxidants’ contact with the gums. They are skillfully placed on the gums and tightened with blue light.

The substance used in teeth bleaching is hydrogen peroxide or carbamide peroxide. Teeth whitening bleaching gel usually has a maximum concentration of thirty-five percent hydrogen peroxide.

Home Teeth Whitening:

In this method, the dentist molds your teeth to make a device for you. This device is in the shape of teeth and transparent. A bleaching agent should be placed inside this device.

Contrary to some dentists’ claims, bleaching results are not permanent and usually need to be repeated after several months.

The process of teeth whitening requires regular and correct use of the bleaching agent. In the first few days, the teeth’ whiteness may not be so noticeable, do not despair and continue.

Usually, most people need two weeks to whiten their teeth. However, in some people, this may take longer, depending on the cause of tooth discoloration.

It depends on the type of teeth, oral hygiene, and diet. Less use of pigmented foods and beverages helps stabilize tooth color.

4- Materials used in the teeth bleaching treatment

5- How to do the tooth whitening by the dentist
